Terms of Use
Effective 1 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of corpusfiles.com, its private contribution tools, and its reader-support checkout. By using the site, creating an account, or making a reader-support payment, you agree to them.
Who we are
Corpus Files is operated by W Consulting, LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. It is an independent, for-profit research publication and does not speak for any church, scientific body, government, or other institution.
Archive status and verification
Corpus Files presents historical accounts, religious traditions, reported experiences, and competing interpretations. Describing what a person, institution, tradition, or publication reports does not adopt that account as established fact.
Labels such as “pending verification,” “reported,” “disputed,” “unsupported,” or “unresolved” describe editorial status. They are not findings that a supernatural claim is true or false. A pending label never grants permission to reproduce copyrighted writing, photographs, translations, or other material.
Accounts
Keep your credentials confidential and provide accurate account information. We may suspend accounts used for spam, harassment, impersonation, scraping, security abuse, or unlawful activity. The on-site forum, immediate public posting, monthly reader support, and store sales are currently disabled.
Private contributions
People age 18 or older may privately suggest a correction, recommend a source, or submit a photograph. Contributions are not visible to other visitors and are never posted automatically. Editorial review and publishing decisions are made in-house. We may investigate, edit, accept, decline, request more information, or take no action. Submission does not guarantee a response, credit, payment, or publication.
Do not submit confidential information, sensitive personal information, unlawful material, or complete copies of third-party books, articles, translations, archival documents, or photographs. A source suggestion should normally identify or link to the work and include only what is needed to explain the proposed correction. Disclose any material personal, institutional, financial, devotional, or advocacy relationship.
Photograph responsibilities
Submit only a photograph you took, own, or have written authority from the copyright owner to license. Do not submit an image that invades privacy or depicts a minor, private individual, private location, or protected subject without permission required for the proposed use. Disclose generative AI, compositing, or other material editing.
Contribution licence
You retain ownership of your original contribution. By submitting it, you grant W Consulting, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, back up, review, verify, and internally share it with service providers that help operate Corpus Files.
If Corpus Files separately approves public use, you also permit W Consulting, LLC to edit, quote, summarize, caption, crop, resize, convert, display, distribute, transmit, promote, and archive the contribution in connection with Corpus Files, including the website, published research, newsletters, official social accounts, and promotional excerpts. This permission may be sublicensed only to service providers working on those uses. Granting this licence does not itself publish anything.
No compensation is owed unless agreed in writing. We will reasonably consider a requested credit but cannot guarantee credit in every format. You may ask us to stop future online use where practicable; the licence may continue for material already distributed, published or fixed editions, correction history, legal and rights records, and restricted backups.
One-time reader support
Corpus Files may accept optional one-time reader-support payments made to W Consulting, LLC, a for-profit South Carolina limited liability company. A reader-support payment is a tip for published content you have already received free of charge. It supports the publication's general operations. It is not a charitable donation and is not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
A reader-support payment unlocks nothing further: no additional goods, services, access, subscription, editorial coverage, or editorial influence. All published content remains available on the same terms whether or not you pay. Each payment is one-time and will not renew. Where Stripe supports it, amounts may be presented in your local currency. Stripe's exchange rate and any conversion fee are shown at checkout, and refunds are returned in the currency you paid. Only use a payment method you are authorized to use.
Refund policy
Full refunds are available for any reason when requested within 30 calendar days of payment. Email contact@corpusfiles.com with the email used at checkout, payment date, and amount. We will issue an eligible refund to the original payment method within five business days after receiving enough information to identify the payment.
After a refund is issued, it generally appears within approximately 5–10 business days, depending on the bank. Contact us promptly about a duplicate or unauthorized charge. Nothing in this policy limits rights required by applicable law.
Site content and permitted use
Corpus Files text, design, data compilations, and other original material belong to W Consulting, LLC or its licensors. Personal reading, sharing links, and brief attributed quotation are welcome. Republishing substantial portions, bulk scraping, or commercial model training requires written permission. Third-party material remains the property of its rights holder.
Accuracy and no advice
We follow the standards described in our Method, but historical and scientific records change and mistakes are possible. Nothing on the site is medical, legal, financial, or spiritual advice. To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided as-is and W Consulting, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions, corrections, privacy requests, rights concerns, and permission requests go to contact@corpusfiles.com.
